2021: looking ahead

First of all, we would like to wish everyone another very happy new year on behalf of Team Workx. Hopefully we can get back to the old ”normal” soon so we can meet in person again. But as long as necessary, we will also make it a great year digitally!

Below – alongside our article on the 2021 law changes – is also a short (personal) Workx update.

January will see another changing of the guard. Martine Messink has now given birth to a beautiful son and has been back at work since this month. Marianne Wondaal will be absent for a while as she will go on maternity leave from 20 January next.

Last year, we kicked off with the first online Workx Seminar. Maaike de Jong and Annieck van Nimwegen then discussed a number of specific employment law issues related to covid. Despite our preference to meet in person, we found that it can also be fun and useful digitally. That is why we are organising another online seminar on 11 February next. This time, Maaike de Jong and Bas den Ridder will discuss the topic of reorganisation. During the online seminar, they will discuss preparation, the role of any employee participation and practical tips when carrying out a reorganisation. More on this later!

Last but not least. Workx will reach a major milestone in July this year – its 10th anniversary! We will celebrate this with you no matter what. How and what depends of course on the circumstances and rules in place at the time. We will keep you posted!
