As partner of Workx advocaten Maaike focuses on all aspects of employment law. She also operates as mediator in employment law matters.

From 2003 until 2011 Maaike worked as a lawyer at NautaDutilh. She also practised corporate law, concentrating on mergers and acquisitions. This experience has proven indispensable when advising clients on matters at the interface of employment law and corporate law.

In 2011 Maaike founded Workx advocaten, together with Marnix and Jochem.

Maaike completed the post-academic professional training programme to become a Legal Mediator at the Amsterdam ADR Institute and she is a mediator in all kinds of employment related situations.

Maaike successfully completed the post-academic course in Dutch employment law (Post Academische Leergang Arbeidsrecht).

Maaike is a member of the Dutch Employment Lawyers’ Association (Vereniging Arbeidsrecht Advocaten Nederland) and the Amsterdam Employment Lawyers’ Association (Vereniging Arbeidsrecht Advocaten Amsterdam) and she facilitates intervision sessions.

Maaike is secretary of the board at the Lawyers for Lawyers foundation.
