Emma
van der Vos

Emma has been practicing law since 2015. She is engaged in all aspects of employment law and is known for her drive and strong sense of justice. In addition to her broad daily employment law practice, she specializes in litigation, wage-related matters, dismissal, and collective labor law. Her interests also lie in cases involving discrimination and inappropriate workplace behavior.

Emma began her legal career as a research attorney at Stibbe, where she specialized in employment law. Since 2015, alongside her legal practice, she has also been active in academia. working on a PhD and teaching at Leiden University. In 2023, she earned her doctorate with a dissertation titled “Limits to Legislative Intervention in Executive Pay”, and subsequently joined Workx. During her time at Workx, she also worked as an interim legal counsel at a large multinational.

Emma regularly publishes on employment law topics, for example as co-author of the Minimum Wage Act in the Tekst & Commentaar series by Wolters Kluwer. She also gives training courses on various employment law subjects, including wages, discrimination, dismissal, and the Standards for Remuneration Act.
