Marnix Ritmeester

Marnix is partner and co-founder of Workx advocaten. He has extensive experience in litigating and advising employers, employees and works councils. He also advises on a regular basis on the employment law aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

Jochem de Roos

Jochem is co-founder and partner of Workx advocaten. He has extensive experience in individual and collective employment law. His clients include both employers and employees.

Maaike de Jong

In 2011 Maaike founded Workx advocaten, together with Marnix and Jochem. As partner of Workx advocaten Maaike focuses on all aspects of employment law. She also operates as certified MfN mediator in employment law matters.

Bas den Ridder

Bas began practicing law at Baker & McKenzie in 2006 where he specialised in Dutch employment law. In 2014 Bas joined Workx advocaten as a partner.

Juliette Niersman

Juliette joined Workx advocaten in 2021 and is appointed as Partner since 1 January 2024. She enjoys working within the corporate employment law practice, but also enthusiastically pulls out the gown for court when necessary.

Justine Schellekens

Justine has been a lawyer since 2019. In 2022, Justine started at Workx advocaten. She advises and litigates on all aspects of employment law and assists both employers and employees.

Wies van Pesch

Wies started as legal counsel in 2016 and has been an employment lawyer since 2018. She completed her master’s degree in Employment Law at the University of Amsterdam and specialized as employment lawyer at a niche firm thereafter.

Emma van der Vos

Emma started as a research lawyer at Stibbe in 2015, where she specialized in employment law. In addition to the legal profession, Emma has been active in academia since 2015 by working on her dissertation and teaching at Leiden University. In 2023 she received her doctoral degree for her research about legal intervention in top remuneration and made the switch to Workx.

Alain Heunen

Alain has returned to Workx as of September 2023 after an inspiring trip in an old Land Rover Defender through Africa and Europe.
Alain is trained as an employment lawyer in the broadest sense of the word. He studied at the University of Leiden. In 2017, Alain began his career as a lawyer at AKD advocaten.
In 2020, Alain started working at Workx advocaten.

Kay Maes

Kay has been a lawyer since August 2024 and has worked at Workx as a legal assistant since November 2023. During his studies he discovered that his focus lies in employment law. For that reason he completed a Master’s degree in employment law at Leiden University. He wrote his thesis on the qualification and position of employees on platforms such as Deliveroo and Uber and on the legislative proposal “clarification of assessment of employment relationships and legal presumption”.

Erika van Zadelhof

Erika joined the Workx lawyers team in January 2024. Before she entered the legal profession, she worked as a clerk at the Haarlem and Amsterdam courts for three years. She has mainly dealt with employment, rental and consumer law matters. Erika also worked as secretary for the neighborhood court in Amsterdam-Zuidoost.

Barbara Rip

Barbara has been a lawyer since April 2019 and joined Workx Advocaten in 2024. She advises and litigates on all aspects of employment law. Prior to working at Workx, Barbara worked as a lawyer at A&O Shearman, where she specialized in employment law.

Heleen Pesser

Heleen joined Workx Advocaten as a legal assistant in October 2024, having previously worked at Workx as a work student since November 2023. During her law bachelor at Leiden University, Heleen developed a strong interest in labour law, partly due to her internship in Sint Maarten at a law firm.

Hanna Blaauboer

Hanna is Workx’s Office Manager. Before she started at Workx, Hanna travelled the world as a model. She worked for many different brands and lived in Paris and New York. This is why she has a great knowledge of the English and French language.
