Maaike
de Jong

In 2011, adventure called. Together with Marnix and Jochem, Maaike founded Workx Advocaten, one of the best decisions of her career, as soon became clear. The firm developed into a unique boutique law firm specializing in employment law.

From the very beginning, Maaike has been a partner at Workx. She advises and litigates across the full spectrum of employment law and is also active as a mediator (registered with the Stichting Register Mediator) and peer review facilitator.

Clients value her sharp perspective, creative approach, and ability to reach clear and mutually acceptable agreements, even when tensions are high.

Her roots lie with NautaDutilh, where she worked from 2003 to 2011, in both the employment law and M&A practices. This combination continues to serve her well in complex matters at the intersection of employment and corporate law.

Maaike is a board member of Lawyers for Lawyers, a foundation that supports lawyers around the world who are under threat for practicing their profession.

Maaike completed the postgraduate training as a mediator/ADR specialist at the ADR Institute in Amsterdam and successfully completed the Postgraduate Course in Employment Law (PALA). She is a member of both the VAAN and the VAAA.
